As a Product Manager, you will support investment and product specialist activities for our pension-related business in Hong Kong and beyond. You will have the chance to collaborate with world-class professionals across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, ensuring our financial solutions stay competitive and are accomplished seamlessly.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate product positioning for Principal’s investment capabilities in the Asia Pacific region. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and investment teams to position products across various distribution channels, including pension DCIO, wholesale/private wealth, and institutional. Develop timely and proactive content to support product positioning.
• Represent Principal Asset Management’s investment capabilities both internally and externally. Develop a deep understanding of specific investment capabilities and effectively communicate these to collaborators.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external key collaborators. Support and advance new business opportunities with key strategic clients, ensuring Principal is recognized as a trusted partner.
• Conduct strategy and product analytics. Work alongside analytics teams to gather competitive intelligence reports on the asset management landscape for the pension and institutional markets, emphasizing key competitive advantages for Principal’s strategies.
• Ensure all investment content is accurate and aligned with regulatory requirements. Manage the compliance sign-off process and work with product marketing to deliver content in the most professional manner.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree or MBA in finance or economics is an advantage.
• CFA, CIMA, or CAIA designation preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 4-6 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably within asset or investment management in Asia Pacific.
• A grasp of the pension investment environment in Hong Kong is preferred; knowledge of broader markets in Asia Pacific is an advantage.
• Strong investment competence and expertise across various asset classes.
• Strong presentation and client-facing abilities, with the capability to develop innovative solutions for complex client challenges.
• Skilled in data analysis, including peer and market evaluation to ensure Principal is positioned strongly in the market.
• Collaborative and capable of working independently and effectively to meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
