Join Principal Financial Group for an outstanding chance to lead product strategy in North Asia. As Manager, Product Development, you'll guide product innovation and market analysis to meet client needs and regulatory trends.
What You'll Do
- Find opportunities for product innovation, including new product launches and improvements. Utilize market data, client insights, and competitive intelligence to pinpoint the best product opportunities for the company.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the market landscape, client needs, competitive dynamics, and regulatory trends across the wealth advisory and institutional segments.
- Share market and product insights with internal collaborators and partners to secure backing for local and cross-border product strategy and development priorities.
- Help craft compelling reasons for new products or improvements in collaboration with multiple teams.
- Foster strong strategic relationships with key internal collaborators and partners. Regularly communicate with regional distribution to ensure product development priorities align with market needs.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current products, investment teams, and capabilities. Ensure the company is deploying its most compelling investment capabilities within efficient wrappers and platforms to improve distribution reach.
- Embed yourself into the company’s product development processes to maintain transparency and consistency across regional and local market strategies.
- Help develop, implement new products and improvements to current fund offerings, ensuring competitiveness, meeting client expectations, and staying in sync with regulations.
- Lead product development projects, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule with high quality. Track project progress and resolve issues arising from product workstreams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, Risk, Governance, and Operations, to assess and plan for operational impacts.
- Monitor the sustainability and adaptability of local registered products and drive product changes where necessary.
- Support collaborator communication by providing clear and timely updates on strategic product priorities. Assist in coordinating meetings and preparing materials for internal audiences.
